home now

We've been home for a few days now - I haven't written here or done much of anything since my return because I just had the worst food poisoning of my life. I started to feel really bad when we arrived to the Delhi airport - I ended up vomiting twice there, then again on the plane. I had horrible stabbing pains in my abdomen for at least 30 hours. I couldn't hold down any water for about 48 hours. I couldn't hold down any food for about 100 hours. I had joint pain for the first few days, then neck and back pain for the next few days. This morning was my first time feeling half way decent. Josh was close to taking me to the hospital, but we were pretty certain it was food poisoning and knew there wasn't much that could be done for it. I'm glad to be a productive human again - although I'm still feeling a little dazed from all that fasting and dehydration and sleeping and jet lag...

For now, I'll just upload the remaining photos and save the written stuff for when my brain is functioning better. I have a few more stories I'd like to share about India before I wrap up this blog.

Thank you again for reading and offering your words of support - it was really comforting while I was there. I'm glad to be home and looking forward to seeing everybody again! :)
